Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If there is a chip/crack in the windshield, will the car get safety certified?
A: Not if it is in the path of the drivers vision.
Q: How do I know if my insurance will help cover glass replacement?
A: If you have comprehensive insurance (fire & theft).
Q: Do you offer warranty for your service and what does it cover?
A: Lifetime warranty and free stone chip repairs if we install your windshield.
Q: Are your auto glass technicians certified?
A: There is not a governing body for auto glass technicians so if anyone claims to have a ‘certified’ technician they are misleading their customers.
Q: After the repair, will the crack or chip be visible?
A: Fresher chips have a better chance of being less visible. However, you are injecting liquid plastic into glass. You do not get optical purity when mixing glass and plastic.
Q: How long after the glass is replaced do I need to wait until I can drive my vehicle?
A: You will be told all kinds of times when you shop around. Everything depends on the quality of urethane adhesive you use when you install. The urethane we use will take an airbag deployment 30-60 minutes (depends on relative humidity and temperature) from the time we set the window in. We change the urethane we use as the Canadian weather changes to adapt to our climate and ensure our customers the quickest and safest drive time.
Q: Will I be able to wait for my window repair/replacement or will it take a long time?
A: We invite you to watch us repair/replace your window or we provide a very convenient free pick-up and drop-off service.
Q: Do you do repairs or replacements on sunroofs?
A: Yes.
Q: What areas does your service cover?
A: We are part of a network that provides service all across Ontario.
Q: Will you install glass I supply, or OEM only?
A: We will install customer provided glass however we cannot warranty someone else’s product.
You will probably find it more cost effective to have us supply and install your glass. In addition, you get a full warranty, not just a labour warranty.
Q: With your mobile service, do your technicians work in inclement weather?
A: We will reschedule or do a pick-up and delivery if there is no proper available cover. The biggest concern with mobile is being at the mercy of your installer if you have a problem. We are not a fly by night operation, we offer mobile service but are not exclusively mobile so you always know where to come if you have any concern or problem with your installation.
